TOM CARPENTER

I explored relationships formed before, during and after people’s interactions with board games, via multiple ideas focused on extending their time spent collaborating. Puzzles revealed themselves as unparalleled in two-person cooperation, as they produced common goals requiring abstract thinking. I used 3D printing and laser cutting in order to precisely mimic the movement patterns of chess pieces creating a game and storage space that is homogenous with the game it s designed to be a part of.
